How We Build Your New Website
Need a new website for your job shop, but not sure where to start?
You've come to the right place.
It just makes sense to have people with real, hands-on job shop experience build a website for your job shop.
About Job Shop PowerSites
Job Shop PowerSites was started by two job shop owners back in 2001. Gary had recently sold his machine shop and had some time on his hands, and a knack for computers. His friend Dave ran his own shop and Gary offered to build him a website, just for fun. The site turned out great, and that was the beginning of Job Shop PowerSites.

Today, Job Shop PowerSites is the only website design company run by people with actual, hands-on job shop experience. We know an end mill from a boring bar, and a lathe from a punch press. We understand your business and we know how the industry operates. We also understand your website audience: the purchasing personnel, quality assurance people and others who are crucial to your success. We use our expertise to create a web presence that speaks their language and tells them what they need to know about your business. Once your website goes online, our Webmaster Service keeps everything running smoothly so you can concentrate on running your shop.
We’ve built well over a hundred websites just for small manufacturers. Take a look at some of our clients' sites. We provide hosting and website management services for job shops all over the USA. We’d love to talk with you about a new website for your business.

How we build your website
"Building a website is like putting together a puzzle."
First, we get the pieces...
We begin by learning about your business. And, since we know the precision manufacturing industry, you won’t have to explain to us what an end mill is, or what a punch press does, or how a CMM works. Our owners ran machine shops for years and we know the business inside and out.
We sit down with you and your top people for in-depth interviews to find out what makes your company different. We want to know your strengths, your specialties, your business roots. From there we create incisive and informative text designed to get a positive response from your website visitors.
Next, we take numerous photographs. Photos of your shop, your equipment, your people and your products. We carefully choose the best shots and, using state-of-the-art image-editing software, we crop and color balance each image so it really “pops” on your site. Image quality is crucial for a great-looking website, and we take the time to get it right.
Our graphics team creates the custom images that tie your whole website together, typically based on the colors and style of your logo. Don’t have a logo or need a new one? We can help with that.
Text, photos, graphics. These are the pieces of your new website.
Then, we put the pieces together.
Once we have the pieces, our team of experts puts them together. This is where our knack for creativity and our industry knowledge comes in. We build you a space on the web where your business really shines. A website that explains exactly why your customers should do business with you; and one that looks great on multiple screen sizes from desktops to phones.
Since we know the industry we know your target audience: purchasing agents, engineers, quality assurance people, expediters and others. These are the decision makers for your prospective customers, and the people who can help get you in the door. We know exactly what they are looking for in a small manufacturer, and we make sure your website tells them precisely what they need to know.
Our number one goal is to build you a website that gets you noticed and contacted by new customers. We give them all of the information they need, presented in an organized and easy to navigate space. A well-designed website is a very effective sales tool, and one of the best ways to attract new business.
Your new website goes online.
Once you give the final approval, your new website goes live online. But, that's not the end. It's really just the beginning. Our tech team fine tunes your site for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) so you show up well on Google and other search engines. We activate Google Analytics so you can track your web visitors with detailed statistics. We handle all of the details to make sure your new site is running perfectly.
How we Host Your Website
"Our Webmaster Service is more than just web hosting."
Hosting connects your website to the world.
A web host is essentially a computer connected to the Internet where the files that make up your website are stored and shared with the world. We take care of hosting your website and all of the technical stuff that goes with it. Our servers have an average uptime of 99.98%, with an average load time of 585ms (industry average is 1185ms). That's super-reliable and fast web hosting for your site.
We take care of everything.
Managing your business is important. So is managing your website. One of the reasons we got into the website business in the first place was to offer small manufacturers a fully-managed web presence, so you can concentrate on running your business.
We take care of the tech updates, security updates, search engine optimization (SEO), and content revisions that keep your website safe, fresh and in sync with your business. Got a new machine tool, or a new customer, or need to update your QA information? Just let us know and we'll update your website, usually within 24 hours. It's all included in our Webmaster Service.
